Who is nancy campbell above rubies

His brothers and sisters have also raised wonderful children who are now raising their children in the ways of God. We miss their daily prayers. We are New Zealanders and lived there until when we moved to Australia, apart from when we did missionary work in the Philippines. Colin pastored in New Zealand for many years and then pioneered and pastured a church on the Gold Coast of Australia.

I guess what I am trying to say — let us not put each other down or imply that our way is the only way to serve God. Some of us might be called to be eyes in the body of Christ and others to be hands or ears or tongues or bellies — but we are all part of the body of Christ. The biggest issue for me would be how it tries to put daughters into one category, I believe God has given us different gifts and talents, and that in order to be part of Kingdom of God here on Earth, we must use and perfect the talents and skills God has given us.

This could take each one of us, as women, into different paths. If we were all the same, we would not serve our purpose. I have enjoyed the encouragements that Nancy has provided over the years.

Above Rubies is just another ministry helping families around the world. God knows Nancy and Collins heart. If He has given them a burden to carry out this noble task then the tides of criticism will not deter them from their calling.

By the end of the day when Christ returns the sheep will be separated from the goats. Bible says that those who do the will of God will be saved. Salvation belongs to our God. God for you for writing this post! The Above Rubies organisation is nothing but a cult.

A cult which has many blind followers, who are always keen to crucify anyone who says anything against them, pretty much anywhere on the internet. I see some have called in here, which isnt surprising. I used to get their magazines, 20 or so years ago when they were kind of starting out here in NZ, and I very quickly realised that they see everything in black and white.

No room for any grey in life. So not true! God is bigger than the narrow box you are painting of AR! I was really impressed with the diversity and acceptance the Above Rubies events seem to have in Southeren CA. Sandy, is writing fron New Zealand, where the organization originated.

I think the events, especially, are determined by what region of the world hosts them. They are putting themselves in a position to influence women so they are held accountable for what they are teaching. A lot of the success stories even strike me as sad because the women are so guilt-motivated.

I read one where it seemed a mother was consumed with guilt for being unable to breastfeed and having baby after baby trying to succeed. I feel like most of us Christian moms are really doing our best and dealing with enough mommy-guilt without having to strive to meet this insanely high standard of the super-mom that is held up in their publications.

We get that message enough from pop culture as well. Hence, the title of my blog Free Methodist Feminist; so theologically she and many other individuals who write from this perspective tend to be more Calvinist.

I want to say I am NOT attacking Calvinism, but trying to illustrate that when a magazine writes advice for all Christian women, regardless of their denominational background they should be upfront with how their theology influences their parenting views. Theology does influence our views of Christian living and we all come from different Christian traditions and might not agree or want to raise our children learning a different theological perspective from one we believe if we knew what theological perspective- male headship we are reading.

I come from a Calvinist background Presbyterian though I consider myself a Christian, or Christ-follower, not a Presbyterian, if that makes sense.

Not all people are meant to have children. Jesus did not. He is our role model, yet He did not have children. He also did not sin. Obviously there is fruit that people bear that is not of the body, but of the Spirit. Some women are called to be stay-at-home mothers.

We should praise them, support them, etc. However, that does not mean that other women should not be encouraged in their calling. They are lovely and genuinely nice people. Not a gentle suggestion, but a command. Now, most women really do want to get married, have children, etc. However, what if you have a child that does not want to do this, and is not called to do this?

Paul did not have a wife or children, yet who can say he was not a servant of God? What about the single Christian women who served as missionaries? For those who are Catholic — what about nuns and priests? Which I think is very judgmental and untrue. I have known many Catholics who were on fire for God, read their Bibles cover to cover several times, served the poor, etc. My problem is when such people try to push their beliefs on other Christians as the only right way.

Dear author, biblically speaking there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of the examples that you gave. I am trying to understand what fault you can find with their ministry and beliefs.

I literally just left a conference where she spoke a homeschool conference. I am a stay at home mom by my choice, thank you. I find her to be incredibly sweet and a gifted speaker. I feel more inspired to stay home now. I also unknowingly till today had a long talk with one of her granddaughters yesterday.

She was very polite and spoke intelligently, add most honeschoolers do. No one asked me to join anything. In fact i think nancy mentioned her organization one time… and that was at the beginning when she was introducing herself. She is most assuredly not cult-ish. She speaks very candidly of the highhs and lows of her marriage and how she relied on God through them. And i think it kind of goes against what we as Christians are supposed to be doing by talking so negatively of one another.

My suggestion would be to contact her. Just wanted to throw out there that I am Methodist. I have never heard of this group or seen this publication.

Only slightly partially true. If the choice between providing PPE to the general population, or medical professionals, people in high risk situations and people exposed to the general public then those PPE should go primarily to medical professionals and others working during the pandemic.

Masks are not worn to protect you. They are donned to protect others from your own germs, viruses, creeping crawling crud. If you are wearing a mask to protect yourself you are doing it for the wrong reasons. I think Jesus would approve of you showing care for other people in this time. The breathing carbon dioxide lie is easily debunkable.

The masks, even the high end ones, have filters or the mask is porous enough to breath through. More science and biology fail by Nancy. Doctors are only working half days. Many doctors are laid off or working only part time as there are so few patients. Everything is the opposite of what you are told. I will post some more videos which I believe everyone should see. They are certainly not so mainstream as the one taken down, but the facts can all be confirmed.

Watch them before they are taken down. Watch them for the sake of your future and the future of your children. That is only true at hospitals in rural areas. Newsflash, most non essential surgeries and procedures have been cancelled specifically so that PPE, doctors and other supplies do not run out.

THIS is exactly what the stay at home orders and squashing the curve are all about! The need to keep from overwhelming the health care system and even more people dying. And those videos.

We will be watching, and reporting them as fake news whenever you post them, Nancy. All this fake conspiracy theories and bad information is likely to just spread the disease even more and lead to more deaths. No Longer Quivering.
