How does porygon evolve in pokemon white

Accepted Answer. This item is needed to evolve a Porygon-2 into Porygon-Z while the former is being traded; Porygon-Z cannot be obtained any other way, other than trading for Porygon-Z itself.

Porygon2 needs to have this item held during the transaction in order to change forms, much like how Porygon can evolve into Porygon2 while holding an Up-Grade during the trade.

Def and Speed. To compensate for this, you can have Porygon2 holding another item that boosts any one or more of these stats, such as Eviolite. Actually, despite what one user had said above, a Porygon can be caught in the White Forest in Pokemon White.

Of course, since this is a segment for Pokemon Black, a Porygon has to be traded from a fellow player with the White version - or anyone else with another Pokemon game that has it. Also, catching a Porygon requires inviting the right dude via Entralink before entering the White Forest, but this is perhaps a bit too far for an Answer already. Top Voted Answer. Make Porygon2 hold it while trading and it will evolve into a Porygon-Z. It has been pretty much explained in the previous posts so yeah.
