Are there eidolons in final fantasy 13 2

Even then, this giant robot was already pretty tanky — as expected of something encountered in the World of Ruin. Alexander acts a bit like a Sentinel in battle. It can also cast Arise and Curaga on your teammates, which is invaluably useful in FF It can be devastating. Hecatoncheir is the most generally useful Eidolon in the game. Its shooting blaster ignores physical and magical defense, and it can reduce all elemental resistance to 0 as well.

Hecatoncheir is based on giants with arms mentioned in Greek mythology. All that is gold does not glitter Not all those who wander are lost The old that is strong does not wither Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

User Info: -Lionheart-. Yup I miss them whenever they aren't included in an FF title. The summons are really what make the games for me.

I made a topic a while back about the same thing, wishing they had given Noel and Serah Eidolons Squall, regarding Laguna. User Info: JoloStuki. EDIT: I didn't use summons to level seifer in dollet. I used his limit-break. Forgot about that. In FF10, I used summons when I was underpowered, and to obliterate bosses.

Now, if you're stating usefulness as the ability to use a summon beyond it's ability to summon it, FF6's Espers are useful for teaching stat-gains and spells, FF7's are useful for turning mages into powerhouses early on, and FF8's are more useful than the actual party members who can only attack without them.

User Info: RLegacy3. Not me. I'd actually prefer it if monster taming took the place of summons in future games. Their flashy special attack animations no longer impress me, and I dislike how they now hog the battlefield when summoned.

I miss summons when they're used correctly, not the "I'm going to replace your party or characters so I can do little damage and then a big boom before I leave. It would be so amazing to see an HD Phoenix destroying enemies. I also think summons should have different attack properties so you can select either ending moves or multiple attacks. That flying thing from FFX had two different major end moves.

How can you miss something that it's in virtually every FF except maybe 2 or 3? User Info: Sandpark. She gets whatever is set up in her paradigm pack, guys. Read the in-game lore. Errbody in the first game received Eidolons that can be summoned under certain circumstances.

Serah can summon, while not nearly as powerful, all day. But again, circumstances. I am having trouble trying to figure out exactly what you are saying. If you are refering to the monsters which are not Eidolons; That is a gift from Etro as mentioned by Mog when you get the ability, and it differs from Eidolon summoning. Also Lightning has the same power as well as the ability to Summon multiple Eidolons from her 'Inner Crystal' at the begining of the game.

Though they scrapped that when she became unplayable, and then they made Leviathan a Fal'Cie. Actually there was an Ifrit. It was the thing at festival in Nautilus. Same with Ramuh. Valefor was the dragon there aswell.

User Info: MagnaderAlpha. VanilleHopen posted Not all L'cie get ediolons.. If she did she would of gotten the Magus Sisters Yeaaa baby That was a disappointing aspect of the game. I made this a point earlier on this board, but you'd think with mostly ALL the magic in the world attributed to junctioning GFs, that more of the bosses that HAVE GFs juncted too them would use them against you in battle.

Fujin and Edea had GFs junctioned. It would've been epic if they summoned them as powerful attacks against you before you had a chance to draw them. But yeah, I didn't care for the idea that Serah, Dajh and Cid never getting their own unique Eidolons.
