I think they should be easily soloable, maybe only the BFA ones should be hard-ish. Wonder what will be the new levels though…since bfa will be level 50, each expansion goes down by 5 level? No way Blizzard are going to mess with that.
Farming old content is a very popular activity and preventing people from doing it would probably cause a lot of people to quit. For example, MC drops ilevel 29 loot, which requires level 25 to equip. So it is safe to assume you can clear MC on level ish with ease, and trivially at max level. Same goes for all other legacy raids. Very difficult to execute though. Took me quite some tries for the first time to down him. Can easily clear him now. Argus is just a glorified target dummy that takes ages, barely hits a tank otherwise.
Hunter, Warlock - Pets can tank Aggramar, which means that the Technique that is the only issue, is completly negated. Classes with insanely high burst Fire mage, retri, boomkins can burst their way through phases, and then just stick in the intermission letting all adds explode , and kiting the 2 big adds until all CDs recover. Still difficult, too difficult. Given the current content drought with no sign of anything before August this one simple change would give us something to do.
Also please, please, please put a portal in SOO, for the love of god. Because the majority of damage intake will be to your pet, a Tenacity pet is preferred. Give it a defensive spec, like this one note that a [ Exotic Beasts ] spec is required , and use [ Aspect of the Viper ] and cast [ Mend Pet ] as necessary spec into [ Improved Mend Pet ] ; especially important for bosses that apply debuffs, like most in Molten Core , and [ Glyph of Mending ]. On bosses with enrage timers, this tactic may not work so well; help DPS if you must, [ Roar of Sacrifice ] will help if you do pull aggro, and be sure to carry an [ Runic Mana Potion ] so that you don't run out of mana for Mend Pet.
You're in luck - if you're the only person in an encounter, you can use [ Divine Shield ] as much as you like without worrying about mobs ignoring you. Make sure to take necessary Protection talents to reduce the cooldown of Divine Shield and [ Hammer of Justice ] - the latter is extremely useful in some fights. In addition, you retain all your DPS abilities, allowing you to effectively tank the boss as well as deal massive amounts of damage. You may defeat the boss before Metamorphosis lifts, but if not, rely on your Voidwalker to resume tanking.
For longer boss fights, careful threat management with [ Suffering ] Voidwalker pet taunt and [ Soulshatter ] Warlock aggro drop may be required. There may be times when, a la Classic, you may be required to slow down or even hold back your fire to allow your pet to build the required amount of threat.
Post by svirve Actually, the tiger boss just takes a tad of getting used to and then it's simple. I never said it wasn't possible, but it's still one of the hardest ones in vanilla.
Not because you'll get killed but because it'll take forever if you dont get it right. Post by Dunsinane And yes, every boss in MC is soloable by a prot paladin. No, I haven't seen anyone with a working strategy for Razorgore or Vaelastrasz solo. But later bosses, like Broodlord and Ebonroc are soloable after you've cleared the first two.
Post by nephthyswanderer Can anyone link a good spec for doing solo runs like these? Post by Squishalot Yeah, I've had problems with Gahennas as well. Soloing any old content for a Prot pally has become that much easier, with the changes to Ardent Defender and SoV.
